The Raccoon BurrowHome, with a crackling fireplace, for the whole raccoon family. Mom knits by the fire while Dad reads the bedtime story, Little Sis and Little Bro build and giggle, and Dusky dozes at their feet. On Halloween the burrow fills with costumes made from old bed sheets.
Campfire ClearingMarshmallows under the stars. Little Bro sits closest to the fire, toasting his marshmallows and loving every crackle of the campfire.
Painter's MeadowWhere Lana sets up her easel. On windy days it is also the best place in the woods to fly a kite.
Puddle ParkBikes, benches and rainy-day splashes. Little Sis, the queen of the puddles, pulls on her boots and jumps in every one of them.
Pumpkin BridgeThe old stone bridge over the river. Every October it glows with grinning pumpkins, and on moonlit nights the shy little Ghost floats out to peek from behind the railing.
The Owl's PorchBest sweets on Halloween night. Papa Owl hands out treats from a big bowl, his son Otto parks the pumpkin balloon next to the steps, and Pipistrello plays music on the pumpkin xylophone.
Leaf CaféCupcakes and cocoa, served with a smile by Café Cat from behind the counter. Outside, the trees drop their leaves in every shade of orange.
The Golf CourseA sunny green with a little pond and a parked golf cart. Dad teaches Little Bro how to swing, and the ball always seems to find the water first. Plop!
