Mom raccoon knitting by the fire

Mom

Knits, bakes, hugs

Lives at the Raccoon Burrow

Mom wears a pink bow and always smells a little like cinnamon. She knits the warmest scarves in all of Rascal Woods, one stitch at a time, sitting close to the fire with a ball of wool that never seems to run out. Somebody in the woods is always wearing one of her scarves.

When Halloween comes close, Mom opens her sewing basket and gets to work. Old bed sheets turn into tiny ghosts, capes and wings, all sewn by hand with big, careful stitches. Then she tucks everyone in, gives one last hug, and the costumes are ready for the night.
